Hi everyone,

Im currently living with family in Scotts Valley CA while going to school studying business, and working part time at Wells Fargo as a Personal Banker. Im interested in getting started in real estate investing to make a passive income and also to possibly quit my day job within 5-10 years. I would like my first home to be a multi family home that I can live in while also being a landlord and learning about real estate investing. I currently have good knowledge of personal finance, good credit and a small amount of savings, also my dad is a general contractor that is known in our area for doing honest quality work. I also have a friend who is a live in landlord but not currently investing in real estate. My concerns with getting started are that I'm only 21 years old, I have little cash available and don't currently know any local real estate investors. I do appreciate the wealth of knowledge I have already found here on BP though. Any advice would be appreciated and I hope to meet more people on the site!
