New member from Louisville, KY. Seeking information to decide on investing

Hello biggerpockets community!

A little about myself.  I am from Louisville, KY where I graduated in Mechanical engineering from the University of Louisville (Go Cards!).  I have been fortunate enough to save some cash to the side and have a pretty good amount of cash flow coming in monthly.  I have been kicking around ideas to make my money work for me outside of only the stock market.

I am here to educate myself on the real estate industry and build a business case to start this journey.  I think I am primary interested in single family units, but I don't really know what I don't know.  My hope is to use this resource to help get me started on a prosperous journey and hopefully one day be able to help out others looking to start.

Thanks and glad to be part of this community!
