Greetings BP!

I've been lurking around the site and listening to BP podcasts for a year now and it has been very informative and inspirational. I've been transient because of education (for what seems like forever) and have always been a renter. However, because of more permanent employment and family, my wife and I have decided to put down roots in DC. I am finally ready to start my adventure in REI and interact the the community more intimately. I have a degree in Chemistry from Michigan State University and now work in the renewable energy industry so I have limited formal experience in real estate. I'd like to start by purchasing my first property: Likely a 2-4 unit as an owner occupant in a metro accessible neighborhood. I hope to buy and hold additional properties as I gain more capital and experience.

Since moving here 1 month ago, I love being a part of and exploring the vibrant neighborhoods of DC. I am looking forward to meeting folks who have experience navigating a market which seems to be extraordinarily lively!
