New investors from Houston Texas

Hey folks,

I'm Bruce Green, me and my wife Sara have decided to use Real Estate investing to supplement our retirement income. I have been in Recreational Vehicle dealership management for 25 plus years and Sara has been a Freelance Court Reporter for 25 plus years. I graduated from University of North Texas in 1980 with BBA in Marketing and Real Estate. I actually got my Real Estate Broker's license in 1980 but never used it and eventually let it lapse. Instead I got into construction material sales and eventually into the recreational vehicle business. Sara had her own Court Reporting firm in Dallas and was able to work from home and raise our, now adult, two sons. She now works for other firms in the Houston area.

Our short term goal is to start out with wholesaling to pay off some debt and build up our savings. Our Mid to Long Term goal is to flip and buy and hold for passive retirement income.

  I discovered BiggerPockets.com totally by accident. I had signed up for a free seminar with a "real estate guru" and surprisingly Sara was on board to go. The day of the seminar I got a gut feeling to check this guy out and found some reviews that said I could get all the info these guys would want you to pay for at a site call BiggerPockets.com. So here I am! I have been lurking in the forums and listened to every podcast, listened to audio books, became a pro member. I have studied hard and ready to take action.

 I am ready to get started! I am on the hunt for great deals in the Houston area because I know that it all starts with an awesome deal. I have been successful in dealership management because of team building skills. I would love to team up with more experienced real estate investors to get this thing going. Being from the retail side of business I am not afraid of hard work and long hours. I am willing to do what it takes to benefit others who might want to partner up.
