I'm new to Bigger Pockets from Orem, Utah and looking for tips!

Hi everyone!

I've never been big into forums, but after listening to the podcast for about a week, I've decided I want to get more involved! I'm studying Mechanical Engineering at BYU and will graduate next spring. My wife and I both have really great jobs (for your age, I suppose). I have a great job on campus and she manages the Ventana Student Housing here by Krispy Kreme. We live rent free, so we've been able to save a good chunk of change and I'm getting excited about investing.

We plan on moving to the D.C. area someday, but for now we're looking to learn as much as we can about this market and hopefully get started investing here. I'd love to meet some of you here and look forward to working together! I'm planning on staying very active on the site, so I look forward to becoming a contributing member of the community! If anyone has some good tips or insight for the Utah Valley (or D.C.) area, I'd love to hear it!

-David
