Rookie Investor from Orlando, FL (living on a beautiful Caribbean island)

Hello (hola) BP community! My name is Alexandra (aka Alex) and I'm from Orlando, Florida. Right now I live overseas working in the non-profit world so let's say this investment adventure is a bit complicated but not impossible. I have ZERO, ZIP, NADA expertise in real estate besides buying my primary residence 10 years ago. I have been wanting to get into investing since forever ago but have taken the plunge until this past Saturday when I took my first webinar with Brandon Turner ...Thanks teach. I was super excited when he answered my question and said it's not too late to start investing (yeah!).

Why do I want to get into RE investing? Simple math really.... ROI in the long run, passive income, freedom in the long run (more quality time w/loved ones and more resources to bless others).

What's next? I found a duplex and did the analysis as taught by Guru Brandon. I got financing but I am not liking that I'm told that I have to put down 25% down ($32.5k) since it's an investment property. Let's see how creative we can get.

Until the next episode of Alex slaying the first investment property dragon...stay tuned.
