Hello,

I've been lurking on BP for a couple weeks and decided to sign up. I'm new to REI and can't wait to get started. My goal is to learn as much about the business as possible and I'd like to have my first deal closed by October 31, 2015.

My initial research had me leaning toward wholesaling but I've seen some pretty negative comments about it so I'm still open to other strategies to get started. If I decide to try wholesaling, my goal is to be one of the ones that does it well (ethically and without blowing up the local market with ridiculous offers).

What I'm hoping to get from BP is the knowledge to do this right and a place to ask questions if I can't find the answer anywhere. I work full time, so at this point the growth and experience is more important to me than compensation. If anyone thinks of a way I can help them out and gain some experience in the process, feel free to let me know.

My background is in Sales Management. I've been in commissioned sales for several years and I currently manage a few locations of a major retail company.

Thanks to everyone that's already involved on the forums. I know your posts will be a huge help going forward.
