Hello world!
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself, I have actually had an account for a little while but haven't done much beyond read and listen. I've tried to follow the old saying
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt".
I'm not to sure what all is typically in these introductory posts so ill give a little background and I am sure with your feedback I will know what is customary.
I am 22, living in DFW. I have been a leasing agent for a very successful REIT the last 2 years (I'm not sure if I am allowed to give out company names). My initial plan was to move into management and then get my Real Estate license. I found out that was not an option as you cannot work for this company and do that at the same time as it is viewed as a conflict on interest.
I am now 1 month in to working for a builder here in the DFW area, my goal is not to get on here to sell my wares (at least not at this point). I am just trying to immerse myself in the investing industry and learn as much as possible.
I may get a RE license in the future although I really enjoy the work I am doing now, make more money than leasing but will be unable to have active license at the same time.
I had a few questions already but would like to know if I should post those here or start a new post as I am sure my questions will be pretty green.
Thanks!!
