Two Rookies starting off on the Right Foot!

So my wife and I have been dabbling in Real Estate education as of the last two weeks. We are two hard working professionals who have barely ever considered investing our hard earned money and have given the smallest amount of thought to it as time has gone by.  Nontheless we still knew that at one point or another action of some sort had to take place to secure our financial future.

Two weeks ago after a long day at work while attending to our almost 2 year old I googled "Investing in real estate at a young age" due to the fact that im in my late 20's.  Lo and behold, the first search result was an article that was titled "How to start investing in real estate at a young age" which was written by an individual who's name was Brandon Turner.  This article brought instant gratification being that Brandon's story inspired the heck out of me.  I forwarded the link to my wife and that instantly sparked a small fire.

Since then we have immersed ourselves in the biggerpockets website and all that it has to offer (i.e., forum posts, podcasts, webinars, etc.). We have taken book recommendations from this website and already own the following list of books:

-The ABC's of Real Estate Investing (Ken McElroy)

-The Advanced guide to Real Estate Investing (Ken McElroy)

-The ABC's of Property Management (Ken McElroy)

-Investing in Real Estate with No (and low) Money Down (Brandon Turner)

-Loopholes of Real Estate (Garrett Sutton)

These are the first foundational books that we decided to invest in to jumpstart this newly acquired passion. I have always been very leery of entering or committing into anything without having at least a small well of knowledge about the topic.

My wife and I are very hopeful that with this enlightning awakening to the world of real estate investing that we will achieve all our future financial goals.

With that said, if you are reading this post and see yourself in the same position I highly recommend the books that we have purchased because they are highly on point and flooded with great knowledge of the trade.

Things are looking up so we will keep all of you posted on our future success.

Happy and safe investing to all.
