Hello from Orange County California

First I want to thank Josh, Brandon, Allison and the BP community for all of the inspiration and encouragement in the form of priceless advice, podcasts and posts for all of our real estate goals. I've been an avid reader and listener to posts and podcasts for about two years now and I am now ready and in position to take action. My husband and I dedicate and volunteer most of our time to reach out to the community as bible teachers and are interested in earning income that would allow us to keep that as our focus. Currently my husband is working as a senior solar panel consultant and I am a Realtor trying to learn the ropes with and find a niche. My dream is to flip at least one property and invest in buy and hold multiplexes. Almost two years ago we moved to Orange County California to be closer to my aging mother in law and a better climate for my health. I have MS and am functioning very well since we have relocated to Southern California. Last month we just payed off all of our debt and would like to stop paying rent and buy a Fourplex to be owner occupants! I got the wise idea from a BP post. Then with our experience I hope to encourage others that never thought of purchasing a 2-4 unit instead of renting and eventually purchase a few more I its for our own personal portfolio. I must admit the loan approval process is intimidating but not impossible. Already we have a business proposal from a friend who would like to partner with us by providing the down payment on a Fourplex if we can qualify for an owner occupied FHA loan. I'm excited!
