Help About Myself
Hi my name is Gabriel. I am a college student that in around one or two years will graduate undergraduate studies. I am from Puerto Rico and due to family problems I was given my father's Real Estate office. My mom manages the office with our employees when I am studying and when I come back then I manage the office with the employees. Due to various reasons we are planning on investing in the Florida area anywhere from Tampa to Orlando, and Jacksonville. Not the Miami area because I have seen that the area is really saturated and is not worth it. Basically from the middle of Florida up. I plan on being a landlord and get a steady income by buying an apartment complex for the time being. I am below 21 years old so I have enough life to expand and get into various investing opportunities (flipping houses, building, etc.) with time. I want to be a RE Investor. Either way my question is anyone that has prior knowledge or personal opinions. Should I pursue an MBA or MSRE or do most of the people find this to be an unnecessary expense. I have been reaching out to people to kind of mentor me in a way of learning the Florida market, taxes, etc due to the fact that it is not the same as Puerto Rico. I have always had the streets smarts like a like to call it and I in the last two years have helped my father's office double it's profit, while investing in remodeling our office, apartments etc. Please answer in details suggestions and opinions, I don't want to spend 30-100k in graduate studies when t can be used for more profitable stuff (Mom is pushing to due graduate studies). Hope to hear from people and have a nice day to you all. I love this site I have learned a couple of things I just signed up but have seen a lot of forums in the last month or so.
