Hello to all!  My name is Tom and I am a newby to real estate investing.  I live in Harris County, Texas (Houston).  I was a police officer for 23 years and I am now the Vice President of a security and investigations company here in Houston.  I've decided it's time to get serious about building some wealth for my later years.  My current paln is to buy/fix/flip several properties to build up some working capital/reserves and then finding a buy/fix/hold property to rent.  Then I want to do it all over again.  I have a private lender lined up so I can move fast on flip deals.  I am currently doing some reading and listening to the podcasts on BP so I'm not blind and ignorant going in.  I look forward to networking with other local investors.
