My Head Is Spinning!

Hello all!!  I'm new to BP's and I probably don't have to tell my head is spinning from the wealth of information and awesome people on this site!  I'm so glad to see everybody helping everybody!  I learned of BP's when listening to another real estate podcast that had Brandon and Josh on a year or so ago and was hooked on the way they looked at things.

I'm currently in South Lake Tahoe, California and own a triplex.  I'm living in one unit while renovating it, I work out of town as an IBEW lineman which has made it difficult to "knock out" the reno.  My immediate goals are focused on getting it completed, moving out and getting the property to cash flow, and renovating the other units as they become available. Any suggestions of reputable contractors in the are wouldn't hurt... Haha.

Beyond the immediate goal I hope to acquire another property by the end of the year, but I have to narrow it down to a vacation rent-able home I can still use as my primary residence when not travelling or another multi-unit property.

Anyways, that's the long of it! Happy to be here!

Reading as many forums as I can stand in one sitting - CHECK!

Listening to the podcast non stop - CHECK!

Gotta thank Brandon and Josh for building this machine!

@Ken Bannister

Welcome.

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and rehabbers (cash buyers). Find them through Google and meetup.com

Two Great reads, I bought both J. Scott The Book on Flipping Houses, The Book on Estimating ReHab Costs http://www.biggerpockets.com/flippingbook

Download BP’s newest book here some good due diligence in Chapter 10. Real Estate Rewind Starting over
