I'm looking forward to using this site to learn as much as I can about real estate investments. I currently own one rental home and some land that was purchased for a long term investment. My wife and I are planning on flipping some homes so that we can fatten our retirement nest egg. I have done heavy renovations in homes that I have lived in and this has provided me with a good base of knowledge regarding home repairs, etc. Now that I'm a little older and wiser I'm not willing to live in a house while I am renovating it and I've reached the point where I no longer want to do the physical work. Therefore, we are trying to learn what we can about all aspects of flipping homes. I'm looking forward to getting educated on topics such as estimating costs, estimating the final profit on a flip, finance options, etc. We live in an area of Georgia where there are still a fair amount of distressed homes despite the fact that prices are starting to escalate. From what little I know it seems this may be the perfect time to flip some homes. The bottom line is we have a lot of learning to do and BiggerPockets seems like a great resource for us.

Regards,

John Taylor
