Fresh-faced and excited in the New Orleans area!

Hello all!

I'm a driven and eager young woman looking to break into real estate investing in the New Orleans area. I'm originally from Seattle and moved here two years ago. I've fallen in love with this city and have a strong desire to make it home and become a productive, responsible member of the community.

I've been educating myself for a few years by reading books, listening to podcasts, and reading blogs. If anyone knows of particular networking opportunities in the area aside from NOREIA and Meetup, please let me know in a reply!

On a personal note, my biggest fear in life is becoming a "company man," offering up my life and labor for other folks to profit from. Financial independence is my main motivation for this career shift, as well as the potential regret of looking back on my life and wishing I had taken more risks, met more people, and given myself the opportunity to seize the life I had dreamed for myself growing up. I'm pleased to see the number of like-minded people in the local area and wish you all success!

In short, I'm a fiery, curious newbie and excited to be a part of the B.P. community!

Best,

Britt Benson
