Hello, I'm in the Dallas/fort Worth Tx area and I would really appreciate any insight anyone

could give on getting started around here and hopefully get to know someone who could help me navigate through out this journey.  Thanks...

Welcome to the BP family @Talib Robinson

Start off reading the The ultimate Beginners guide under the learning tab by @Joshua Dorkin and @Brandon Turner. Set a goal. If you do not know where you want to begin start listening to the pod cast to get an idea on which direction in REI you want to go.

Best advice I can give is to find one area your interested in and learn as much as you can before venturing into unfamiliar areas. Best of luck.

George
