Hello, my name is James. I am 21 about to turn 22. I migrated from Thailand to the U.S. In 2009. Right now, I am a full time college student. I was in bio med engineer. I am good at science and math even though I hate the subject, but someone in this blog encourage me to follow my passion and change major to econs and hopefully get real estate license in near future. My father started investing in late 2010 which was a super sale for buying house. He liked buying cheap house then rehab then rent it out. He was a handy man, so he could saved ton of money when rehab. My family started to invest in this field ever since. However thing changed when he passed away from working to hard in 2013. Since my mother cannot fully understand English, I have to take care of the business. I have to learn about managing account, record expense and rent, estimate the rehab, deal with English speaker, and should never rent to cousin friend, etc. I also learn that reality is different from on what's on paper. Sometime when I see people my own age having fun and not worry about future, I feel a little bit jealous. Right now, my mom is owning four SFR in Las Vegas, and one duplex in San Bernardino.
