New Member Intro - Newport Beach, CA

Hello BP Community,

My name is Tyler Brundage and I’m a relatively new member from Newport Beach, CA. I’ve been an active podcast listener, but thought it was time to up my involvement in the community, hence the new member introduction.

I was introduced to Bigger Pockets through a real estate investment club I attend, Orange County Investment Club (FIBI).

On a professional level, I’ve been involved in the construction industry for about 8 years now. Currently I am a construction project manager for a commercial construction company in Orange County, CA. My focus is on tenant improvements.

As for my real estate investment involvement, I purchased my first property back in 2012. A townhouse in Newport Beach, CA. You could consider this a ‘house hack’. Since 2012 I have been building equity on the property. The property is a two thirds rental income property. When purchasing this property the intent of the property was to turn it into a full time rental income property. Currently i’ve been in research / savings mode, but I am really looking to take action and transition into my next investment. My goal is to build my portfolio of rental income properties throughout the years, transitioning from single families & townhomes to multi family properties.

Cheers!

-Tyler
