Hello Bigger Pockets community!
My name is Austin McClain, I have been a member of BP for a few months now and have logged in from time to time to read articles and find helpful information. After months of listening to podcasts, reading articles and recently partnering with a buddy of mine to get our first whole-sale deal done, I have decided that it is time to introduce myself on this site and become much more active in working towards my goal of becoming a premier whole-seller in my market. My ultimate goal is to use Real Estate as a vehicle to produce "passive" income from rental properties and generate multigenerational wealth for my family. There is a deeper meaning behind this decision than just money, as I know is the case for many others in this community.
I am looking forward to networking with other like minded individuals that I can learn from and share my experiences with as well as I grow! Although I am new, I aim to grow and progress as rapidly as I am capable of, and with the support and knowledge of this community and other resources I know that I will be well-informed on how to reach my goals.
Currently, I am a student at California State University Sacramento and am on Summer break, working for the California Secretary of State. My goal is to use this summer time while working full time to develop a part-time Whole-Sale Operation with my partner and split the profits with him. This will give me the experience of running a business while working full time, which I will definitely need in order to handle both school (1 year left!), running a Whole Sale operation, and being a Vice President of my organization focusing on providing service to the campus and community. With that said, I know it is time to get to work and start learning!
I am really, really looking forward to this journey. I know it will be hard, trying, challenging and brutal. I also know that many of you have faced much harder circumstances and have come out on top! I hope that I can use my experiences and knowledge to inspire others, and learn from others here as well!
Sorry, I know that was a long introduction. I am just happy to be here!
