New Investor in South Florida

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new investor in South Florida. Currently in contract to buy my first property. If everything goes well we should be closing mid-June. My plan is to live in one of the rooms and rent out the other two. I started looking for multi-family homes but everything was way out of my budget in this area. I decided to buy a townhome by FAU/Broward College and think I landed on a decent deal.

I found BP while searching for resources in how to analyze real estate deals and have devoured hours/gigabytes of material since then.

Hands off to Josh and Brandon for their work and the great podcast.

If everything goes well, I hope to continue to add properties to my portfolio and to become more active in the community.  I'm most attracted by Buy and Hold right now as I love my current job and I'm looking to invest only in my down time.

If anyone has any tips/comments they'd like to share or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

@Chris Mora

BP is a treasure chest full of useful resources. You will find resources here from blogs to pod casts and forums. You can also send messages to members which is my favorite part of the website.
