Newbie in OKC metro!
Hi, my name is Patrick! I found Bigger pockets after going to a real estate seminar hosted by the OU MBA program. I am currently a Purchasing Agent for a construction company, and also an MBA candidate. I am a homeowner, and since owning have learned the power of equity and income. My goal is to start by buying single family homes or multi unit buildings for the purpose of renting them out to create income. I look forward to connecting with people and learning a lot, then hopefully passing on down!

@Mark - thanks for the tip. I'm always overwhelmed by forums. Knowing where to start is half the battle in learning information from them.
@Joe - Thanks for the welcome! I am certainly very excited to learn and connect with people.
@Paul - Thanks for the advice. I got through the Get Started page, and downloaded The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing last night. I'm finished the first 7 chapters. Great stuff. I'll start listening to the podcasts in my spare time at work. I actually am joining a webinar this evening about evaluating rental properties so that should be very useful for what my goals are. I'll check out HUD's as well and get the Rewind Book once I finish the guide. Thanks again! Hope to keep in touch.
@ Zack and Jimmie - Thanks for the welcome! I'm a transplant form Kansas, and originally a Air Force brat, but I'm in love with Oklahoma. Great place to be, especially in the metro area.
@Tyler - I finish my MBA with a Finance and Energy concentration next July and I can't wait. I'm paying about 900 per month for school, and in my head I'm thinking "that's another mortgage." My goal is to buy a second house and rent it out, start generating income, and build my portfolio. I love income and cash flow!
