A "Newbie" At 50 - Who Would've Thought?

Hello Everyone!

I am a newbie. (it's actually refreshing at my age to be able to say that!)

I stumbled across this website while looking for information on how to invest some money that I received when I got rear ended. It's not a whole lot, but I can thank the local attorney who advertises on TV for getting the best he could.

For years and years I have studied real estate but never had any spare cash to do so. Now I have at least a small opportunity.

My biggest achievement has been buying my own house. (Finally) But, I have known enough throughout the years to help friends buy theirs and walk them through the buying process.

I actually went and took the Florida licensing course only to fail the test by 1 point. Talk about frustration.

I have decided to go the wholesale route to start. I think with my little nest egg I can do some decent marketing to get things going.

Jacksonville has been my home for over 6 years. I have worked here as a Process Server, licensed by the Sheriff. During that time I was on the front lines of the housing meltdown. I served over 50,000 foreclosure papers. This got me to know the Jacksonville area very, very well. It also taught me a lot about local housing prices and brought me into contact with a lot of the legal establishment.

Right now I drive a route for the Post Office and am out of town quite a bit. I hope I can still wholesale while doing so.

I look forward to meeting up online with everyone. I am not big into social media but really like this website.

I'll try to get a pic up ASAP.  But, I think I'll need to work out first.
