Newbie living in the UAE but shopping in the UK

Hello,

My name is Chris Meek and I'm 30yrs old. I'm a kiwi who currently lives and teaches in the UAE and is married to a Brit. Im completely new to property investment and my wife and I see it as our retirement plan for the future. I have been researching where to invest and i think Birmingham, UK, where we have family, could be a good place to start.

I have a billion and one questions to ask but I will leave this post as a 'G'day' and hope to bounce some ideas off other members in the future.
