Newbie from Columbia, SC

My name is Candace and I just move to Columbia a couple months ago. I work full time in retail management and I am so over working this hard to fill someone else's pockets and not my own.

I have some knowledge of buying/selling raw land, which I love, by way of my daughter's paternal family. This is the field that interests me immensely. While I know successful investors, the close personal relationships involved tend to overshadow and affect the professionalism needed. Hence, I am hoping to learn and (vicariously) shadow other entrepreneurs and professionals.

I've believed for twenty years that this (RE investing) is what I really, truly want to do. I've thought about it for way to long. With the child grown and gone, it's now my turn to look toward my own dream.

I've been "lurking" on this site for about a month, and I am really impressed, not only with the site, but with the members. I am looking forward to further posts, blogs and discussions.
