I currently work full time (and married with 3 kids) and want to find a way to start investing in real estate. Taking the first step is very difficult for me. However, I have a strong desire to do this and know its possible. I look to make some connections here and pointed in the right direction.
@Jonathan Dye welcome to the BP community. Take a look at the various blog posts on the BP community as they are full of great information regarding real estate.

Hey @Jonathan Dye welcome to BiggerPockets! You've definitely come to the right place to learn more about investing. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out the The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing and The BiggerPockets Podcast. They are both great at learning the fundamentals.
Oh - and don't forget to set up your Keyword Alerts!
See you around the site!
BP IS a great place to learn, but as the recent blog post said, you've eventually got to get off the "learning treadmill" and take action.
Take a little time to figure out what niche of REI you want to jump into and then do it.
#askBP podcasts have some great quick learnings.
Good luck to you! I am a buy and hold investor and live in Nashville but look at deals all over the state. Would be glad to try to help answer questions and or get together to talk.
Welcome to biggerpockets! All the best on your real estate venture!
