Hello from Long Island

So I found BP by accident and honestly can't remember how I ended up here. Been reading for a few days and already learned many things I never knew.

I'm probably a good 2-3 years away from attempting my first deal but that's ok with me. Just looking for a way to retire on time when I can (civil servant).  Plus I don't want to invest locally as I can't get excited about the Long Island area because, if I could, I would leave. 

If there is anyone in LI looking to partner up i do possess computer and web skills that could be of use to someone in exchange for just being around someone with experience. I also work a rotating schedule that amounts to 13-14 days a month. So I do have lots of free time to help out in any way as well. 

Regardless, just happy to have found this site and to familiarize myself with the world of real estate.
