Hi everyone, my name is Jordan and I'm fairly new to the Charlotte area, coming from Raleigh-Durham.  I've been a lurker on this site from time to time over the past 4 years, but now I'd like to start interacting on the forums, continuing the learning process while helping others like they've helped me.  It's fun to do deals, but it'll be more fun to share the experiences with others in the business.

Bigger Pockets has been great for me, as I saw home prices becoming extremely cheap after the financial crisis, but I didn't know how to evaluate deals, estimate expenses, or what factors could make or break an investment.  The articles and forums here gave me the confidence to start buying properties, and it's been a great experience, with some good deals, a few mistakes, consistent cash flow, and plenty of interesting stories.

It's a lot of effort to complete each deal, even the small ones. I've realized that it'll be difficult to scale on a part time basis while keeping a healthy family life, and I like my current profession too much to leave. So I want to transition to multifamily CRE, starting small and eventually working towards larger deals.

I've been enjoying the BP podcasts featuring veteran investors of all backgrounds, and I'm excited to start connecting with everyone, especially in the multifamily forums and hopefully with some local investors in the Charlotte area.
