Noob looking to get feet wet

Hello, I am a 16 year old High School student from GA who has no idea what he is doing but wants to learn real estate and start investing. I have been learning as much as I can from youtube and articles but don't know where to really dive in. I was wondering if it would be strange for me to go to my local REI meeting with no experience and being so young. Anything to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
