New Tacoma, WA area investor
Hello All!
My name is Tarin Todd and I am so excited to have joined what looks like a fantastic support community!
I recently stumbled across "wholesaling" in a Google Search while I was researching investment opportunities. I was looking for something that I could create long-term wealth/income while being hands on and in control. The man I want to work for is the one writing this post. Real Estate sure seems to offer that opportunity while at the same time allowing for the helping of others, which is an important part of who I am.
I was born and raised in the Tacoma Area, so I feel I have a pretty good understanding of the locale and so I am excited to get hands on with the market here. I currently work for an environmental non-profit, and love it, but I would like to be able to give back to the organization as a supporter. Bigger goals for it than just working here. I also work/volunteer with a maritime based youth program here in Tacoma.
My immediate interest is to get a couple wholesales accomplished, squash the initial fears of starting anything new and create some capital to purchase a rental property for some cash flow. Long term I intend to develop a real estate business focused on wholesaling and renting multi-family properties, and ultimately, retirement from the w-2 life.
Realizing the need for support and like-minded excitement, I have partnered with a friend to create this business. Like me, he has bigger ambitions in life and, of course, has a different skill set than I, so we hope to leverage each other for the benefit of growing a long-term enterprise. Currently we are developing a business plan, identifying our goals, both business and personal, creating our partnership agreement and immersing ourselves in as much real estate knowledge as possible, including books, BP blogs and forums and of course the podcast. I just saw there is a BP meetup near me this Friday, so I look forward to meeting and networking with many of you there.
Thank you all in advance because I’m sure I’ll be asking plenty of questions very soon.
Stay Strong All!!
