Brooklyn Newbie

Hi all,

I'm happy to finally introduce myself to the forum. I have been reading though for a few weeks now and am very excited to be a part of Biggerpockets.  I hope to learn and contribute as much as possible. Just to give a little background.. I bought my first home 2 years ago and am now looking to invest in my first rental property.  I'm interested in places in Brooklyn (close to home) or New Jersey.  Homes are expensive in this area so I am open to other areas, but am looking to the forums for some guidance.  My father previously owned 3 rentals so I'm familiar with the industry, but looking to carve out my own niche now.
