Hi all, 

You wonderful investors that make up the community of BiggerPockets have already made a huge impact on this one, well before my first post. I thank you for that, and for all the future things I will surely learn here. 

I came to REI through the realization that as much as I loved my day job, it will likely never provide the financial environment I'm looking for. Hopefully, a (big) handful of small multi-unit buy-and-holds will be able to provide that financial environment while I get to keep the joy of my primary career. So far, I've had one offer accepted, only to fall through on inspection. A little gun shy now, but working the numbers on a nearby four plex to get back on that horse!

To be honest, it escapes me how I came across BP last year, but in the last few months since heading down this path, I've learned from webinars, posts, podcasts, hundreds of blogs, and been inspired many times. @Brandon Turner made a very effective marketing ploy at the end of a webinar, and I went Pro. That membership has already paid for itself in the dozens of rental properties I've analyzed with the unlimited access to the calculators. 

Again, thanks to all, and thanks for creating this venue for us newbies to introduce ourselves.
