New Member from Rockaway New Jersey

Hello Bigger Pockets,

My name is Gavin and I’m a new member on BP. I’m from Rockaway New Jersey and I have a background in professional sales. Besides purchasing my primary residence with my wife I have zero Real Estate experience. Currently my wife and I are looking at Real Estate as a potential investment vehicle for the future.

Since my sales profession provides me with quite a bit of windshield time, the BP podcasts have been a great way to begin educating myself on the business – turning my car into a “Library on wheels”.

I’ve begun reading the beginner material on BP as well as some of the book recommendations I’ve picked up from the podcasts. Besides listening and reading I’m currently interested in networking with investors/people in the business who know my market and who may have some advice/guidance to offer.

For anyone in my area, please advise if you know of any groups or networking events where I would be welcome.
