Here's a bit about me.
As CFO for a multiple fast food franchisee, I had my first exposure to the world of real estate while participating in the evaluation of sites for future restaurants. It didn’t take long for me to be ‘bitten’ by the real estate ‘bug’. I obtained my real estate license, worked for a franchised brokerage and later purchased my own office. Together with a general contractor client we purchased land and developed a number of commercial office buildings and custom homes. With the knowledge and experience gained in business and as a member of a Los Angeles City Councilman's Community Advisory Council, nationally recognized corporations engaged my services as a Consultant to guide them through the maze of City and County government. Later, I developed and taught classes on Real Estate Basics and a series of “How to...” classes focused on specific Real Estate topics largely based on inquiries from students and clients. By putting these experiences to paper and making them widely and readily available as eBooks, I hope to empower the non-professional and open a window to a not-so-mysterious world of Real Estate.
A little over a year ago my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and we relocated from the coast to be closer to her oncology team. We had planned to develop some lots we owned in Gold Beach, OR but with current events have decided to sell them instead so they are currently on the market.
When not doing things Real Estate, I am an avid photographer having 'converted' from film to digital only a few years ago. Since then I have won a few awards for my hobby and have had some of my pics on display in a gallery.
Next to photography though comes my family and my grandchildren in particular. My wife and I travel to see them as often as we can.
