Newbie in Berrien County, Michigan

Greeting!

My name is Shannon and I live in Baroda, Michigan with my husband Steve.  I am 44 years old and we have been married for 25 years.  We are 15 +/- years out from retirement and are looking for different ways to fund that.  Mainly I have been a stay at home mom for 20 years, but my kids are grown and out, we have recently moved here to Michigan and I am looking for an outlet for my skills and passions.  I hope real estate might just fill that need.

I feel fortunate to be part of the Bigger Pockets community, and look forward to learning, learning, learning.  We could be ready to purchase our first "official" investment property soon, but will likely spend the next year researching, networking and reading.

We purchased our home of residence last February, sold our last one through a relocation company.  We have bought and sold two previous residence homes. We also have another property that we rent because we have been unable to sell it.  I will also look forward to figuring out the best strategy for that home, although the status quo is acceptable.  For now, lol!

Anyway, that is it.  I am brand new to real estate investment but not at all new to foruming.  Thanks in advance for the opportunity to share in the wealth of knowledge I am sure to find here at Bigger Pockets.
