Hello BP from Las Vegas

Greetings everyone!

I'm Jason and I currently live in Las Vegas however I won't be investing here just yet. Sadly, my current job doesn't pay me enough to qualify for anything within the parameters of how I want to begin this wonderful journey into the world of real estate investing!

I was recently able to do a cash out refinance on my primary residence which will allow me to begin this journey. I'm thinking the best way for me to add to that cash flow is to flip a few properties first but it has been difficult to find anything in my home market. So I decided to look at my other home market, New Jersey (which is why my profile says I'm from there). I've seen some promising properties but have yet to be able to purchase one for a variety of reasons. 

I'm very willing to do this where ever I can afford to so I'd love to hear from some of you about your markets and if there is room for one more flipper there.

Thanks for the welcome! I would love to join one of those REI groups but living out west and not being in NJ all the time could be a bit problematic! I could perhaps schedule a trip back around the same time as a meeting if I had enough notice. I'll keep my eye out on the boards for the next meeting and if you hear of one, please do let me know.

I grew up in Toms River and my parents still call it home. Well worth a visit someday!

I have not looked into out of state rental ownership as of yet. Any information you can share would be appreciated.

Flipping just seems to me the best way to build upon what I currently have so that I can explore other options within the real estate investing world. I have other goals in mind but one step at a time!
