Greetings!
I've been reading and making lots of notes over the past couple of months...and thought I should finally jump in and introduce myself. I first heard about biggerpockets.com from forum discussions on mrmoneymustache.com. My husband and I had been looking for ways to diversify our assets and help fund an early/earlier retirement.

We are in the process of investing in buy and hold properties, both in the Portland metro area (where my husband grew up and has lots of family) and Northern California (our backyard). We first experienced being landlords when we merged our lives together and decided to rent out my condo. Then as our family grew, we rented out our primary residence when we upgraded. Although, we feel pretty comfortable as landlords, we are still constantly learning and adjusting our thinking. And it’s has been amazing to hear people freely share their knowledge and experiences – both bad and good. So, mahalo and thank you!
