Advice for a student
Hey all,
Excited to join the community. As a current undergrad student, I'd love to hear any and all advice you have for someone in my shoes. Advice, lessons, experiences to seek out, anything and everything is welcomed.
Thanks!

Hello Max! Josh here from Atlanta. I got my start in investing last year, and I have seven units in the metro region. That's a good start for sure, but I wish everyday that I could speed up the portfolio building.
And that leads to my advice to you:
1) Start by setting your goals -- what do you want your real estate portfolio to do for you?
2) Learn as much as you can about the different types of investing, always trying to figure out which paths will lead you closer to the goals you laid out.
3) Commit yourself to a slow, steady build. Some people are genius-grade and can put together massive portfolios in a short amount of time. I am not one of those people, and I think most aren't. I believe building wealth through real estate takes consistent effort over time. So dedicate yourself to the process, and don't be discouraged if the build moves slower than you would like.
I wish you all the best in your ventures. Cheers!
