Hi everyone!  I'm Michael and wanted to join the site after reading a few articles and listening to the podcasts.  I'm addicted to it already :)  This place has so much good information!  Thank you Josh and team.

I've been interested in RE for a long time, since high school at least when I first read Rich Dad Poor Dad (and actually got to meet Robert Kiyosaki at a MLM event my parents attended), and want to finally take a step in purchasing my first property.  My first goals are to find resources to help with business start-up process on a budget and also info about buy and hold opportunities (with less expensive renovations needed, for the first few) as well as wholesaling to build investing capital.  To start, I'd like to focus in the Marietta/Kennesaw, GA market.

I'm one that enjoys studying and reading, but have procrastinated in starting, so I want to use BP as my motivator!  Check out my profile and connect with me if you like.  I hope to get to know a few of you soon.  Thanks!

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and rehabbers (cash buyers).

Two Great reads, I bought both J. Scott The Book on Flipping Houses, The Book on Estimating ReHab Costs http://www.biggerpockets.com/flippingbook

Consider checking out HUD homes for small multi's owner occupied gets first crack.

You might consider Niche or Specialized Housing like student housing. Rents can be 2-4 times more. Remember you don't have to own a property to control it.
