Realtor looking to get into Investing

Hello my name is Andrew. I am a motivated 24 year old Realtor who currently works full time for my family's Real Estate Firm in Dallas, PA. I am working for and learning from my grandfather who has been in the business for over 50 years as a Broker and Residential Appraiser. 

I got interested in the business of Real Estate more due to Investments and the act of flipping homes. I have recently attended a Fortune Builder seminar and I'm looking to continue to the 3-day Workshop. 

I have read many books on Real Estate Investing and try to continue to further my education in this business everyday.

I am looking to start or become part of a team in North East Pennsylvania.

I look forward to using this site and hope to gather useful information that I can use in the future.

Hi,

I am a realtor in New Orleans and have a suggestion. The key to becoming part of a team is filling a need. Go to your local REIA and introduce yourself to people. Before you go, understand where you can add value. Some have money, some have know-how, some flexibility, etc. If you have no money and cannot swing a hammer, maybe you can help them find and assess deals. If someone invests and has a 9-5 job, then maybe you can help project manage to go by each day, while doing your realtor thing, to make sure rehabbing is done correctly and on time. You will pick up the other skills by being around the action. Just know what you can and cannot do and find someone who has the opposite abilities.
