Hello!  I am very new to this site and brand new to the idea of investing.  We are just digging out from a mountain of debt and are looking for a new direction to go.  My credit is not stellar and I don't have much cash reserve, so I'm looking to see if this would be an option for me.

Right now, my partner (soon to be wife) and I are supporting our son, daughter in law and 16 month old (adorable) granddaughter.  Our son has a non-malignant brain tumor, works part time and we are still working through treatments with him.  

I work full time in accounting but am looking to expand my experience and add extra income in the process.  Any advice and ecouragement is appreciated.  Or if you think, with my info, that this would not be feasible at this time, I'd like to know that, as well.
