Hello from currently frigid Tampa, Florida

Whats happening BP?! I decided to spend my weekend getting better and forming a game plan for the week ahead. Chasing greatness is what I call it, but first I would like to introduce myself and then hopefully I can engage in some back and forth with my new found family members (c:

The Story of Antony Hill (Briefly) -

I am from the all mighty Pensacola, Florida..that's right I said it. I came to Tampa to play college football for USF. (Go Bulls). I had an opportunity to play for the Buccaneers but that was short lived due to an injury. So I dipped into my network and secured a wonderful job and was making a pretty impressive living for someone my age who was fresh out of college. I will admit it was nice to have a steady income, but I don't believe in the safe route, I don't believe in working to make someone else rich. I believe in hustle, I believe in MASSIVE ACTION, I believe in taking control of my life! So I did, I stepped down from my day job and decided to get into RE full time. And here I am.

I am seeking education, experience, and overall guidance. In my eyes any info is good info, it just depends on how you utilize that info. I plan on becoming a major player in the RE world and want to help as many people along the way as I can. I upgrade to PRO to show people that I am serious about investing and I also did it to support the BP organization and everything that they do.

Thank you @Joshua Dorkin and the BP family, Brandon Turner, J Scott, and anyone who contributes to the cause, this is a beautiful thing y'all have going on here.

With that said, I want to thank everyone in advance for your guidance in the future, and I will do anything I can to help as well. Honestly, you have my word. I look forward to some big friggin things and I am stoked to see what the future holds for us.

Again Thank You and Much Love,

- Anthony

Newbie, Newbie, Newbie - NOOB!  And welcome to the site!

But um, did Josh, Brandon, or J Scott advise you to quit your day job (pretty sure they might counsel the opposite at this early stage)?  I have bought an average of one house every 2 months for the last 14 months and have relied heavily on my day job to enable me to do that.  Lenders like income. (I also had 2+ yrs rental income on my tax returns, so each new house added to my income and actually improved my debt/income ratio once leased).

If you intend to raise money and rely on partners and have the network to do that, no problem. But I hope you did not just shoot yourself in the foot before you even get started. Best wishes with your REI plans.
