Hello all, new member from central New Jersey
I am a residential building contractor specializing in whole home renovations/additions. My wife and I have decided to venture into real estate investing/flipping. Our strengths are obvious as it relates to home renovation, our weakness is in finding flip opportunities, the buy and sell process, working with realtors, etc. We are excited to be part of the community.

@Clark Winkler welcome to bigger pockets. Thats awesome knowing you can build and renovate homes. Do you mainly work with clients that find you for personal properties or have you worked with investors in past? If you work with investors I recommend keeping good relations with them because that has the possibility of being a great relationship for the future in regards to find property. Whats tough about NJ is find properties on the market and then getting an offer accepted. There is a lot of competition and most of the time multiple offers. Many investors have found alternative ways of finding properties. Wholesaling or working with a wholesaler may be a good option of you. Staying active on BP will go a long way to help teach you and wife the process of finding properties. Best of luck, happy to help anytime :)
