Newbie in Richmond, Va

Greetings Everyone!

I'm Dori Thorpe and would love to become a real estate investor. I've owned a couple of personal homes. The last one we ended up renting out in order to facilitate a relocation. I do not like being a landlord of a property 5 hrs away, but can't sell right now. I am interested in buying property in the Richmond area, primarily in the surrounding counties. I am curious about creative financing. I have great credit but would prefer to use little or no cash down, if at all possible.

While flipping seems exciting to me, at this point in life I'm leaning more toward buy and hold, long term, for less risk.

So far, this seems like a great place to learn, get advice, network and to get started. I'm ready for the next chapter.
