Newbie in Wilmington, NC

My name is Sean Gray and I am just starting out in real estate investment. I haven't done any deals yet and am still trying to become educated. My folks have several rental properties in Charlotte, NC and they always put me to work on the properties whenever a tenant moved out. It was a good experience and I've seen some gross stuff. I've worked in the construction industry ever since. I am hoping to take my construction knowledge and use it to begin to work my way up to rehabbing. First, I want to learn how to make deals and how to wholesale. As I gain more experience and knowledge I'd like to get deeper into the pre-habs and rehabs. My long term goal is to build a holdings portfolio that will allow me to have more financial freedom. I have a degree in construction management and have a wide knowledge base in building science, energy efficiency and building new homes from the ground up. I'd love to share my expert knowledge in construction and hope to be able to learn about the art and business of real estate investing from the Bigger Pockets community!
