Newbie in Charlotte, NC

Hey, my name is Michael Sollitto. My wife and I just moved to Charlotte in July from Long Island. We are scheduled to close on our first home March 16th. This will be our primary residence while we start a family and a real estate investment business. With all of the colleges and universities in NC I would love to purchase houses around campuses to rent to students. My wife's Aunt does this in NY and has become very successful at it. She has 3 houses since starting 15 years ago and has the first house almost paid off. Any suggestions or connections are always welcomed! Thanks!
