Newbie in NC

Hi! My name is Melissa, and I am completely new to the idea of real estate investing. I have worked freelance in the film industry in the Charlotte area for the past six years, however changes to NC film incentives have diminished that type of work here greatly. I am seeking a way to take control of my future, and real estate investing seems like a viable, exciting option. I have always been a go-getter, and being my own boss is also a dream! I am here to learn as much as I can, and put that knowledge to work as quickly as possible - seeing as I am technically "unemployed" at the moment. I am so grateful that I stumbled onto biggerpockets.com, and I look forward to gleaming knowledge from those that have already navigated the path to real estate investing!
