Hello BP Family,

My name is Cheron (pronounced Sha-ron) Rice.  I am a married Mother of 4 and recently laid off of work where I was a County employee for 10 years.  Now that I am off, my husband and I have been looking into different programs to start investing in real estate which my husband has wanted to do since we were in high school.  We currently own a duplex that is rented out on one side and we are currently living on the other.  We would like to continue our venture but just haven't got the education needed to do things wisely.  With our first project, this duplex, we bit off more than we could chew.  Now we are looking at a better way to approach real estate so that we can be successful and not stuck.

We have been to multiple real estate investment seminars however their tactics and more importantly their costs are too much for us now that we are a one income household with 2 children we still have at home.  So I started researching online ways to gain information/education and thankfully, I have found Bigger Pockets.  I just finished the webinar on how to utilize Biggerpockets website and can not wait to get started.

I have just downloaded the Ultimate Beginners book and will be reading it.  Just need to know what the first bit of detail is needed to create a business plan and hopefully will be able to sprout from there.

As excited as I am about starting, there are a lot of questions and I am looking forward to reading the blogs and hopefully answering the questions I didn't even know or think to ask.

Here we go....

Cheron Rice
