Hello BP community! So I have been a BP member for a few months now and I am finally introducing myself. I know, I know, that would not impress Josh and Brandon...

Anyway, I am brand new to investing. I have been trying to learn as much as possible through the forum, podcast, and many books. I think this community is amazing and feel very lucky to have found it.

We currently own one rental property in Olympia, WA. Of course it wasn't purchased as an investment, it was suppose to be our home. Since we are in the Army, they had other plans for us. We have been stationed in Japan the past three years and just recently moved to Harker Heights, TX.

The rental in WA has actually been cash flowing for us the past three years. We have a fantastic property manager and renters. So we feel very lucky with that situation.

Moving from Japan we were nervous about buying in Texas so we are in a rental until July. After July we are looking to buy a fixer upper and live in it until we move again. During the time here in Texas we plan to learn as much as possible about REI. I have been to the local REIA meet-up and have met some great people.

Our long term goals include getting our real estate license (my wife), buy and hold SFR and small MFR, and perhaps some flips along the way.

I look forward to soaking up as much info as possible and getting that first real investment deal done!

Thanks,

Trailson Moore
