Hello all and Happy New Year to everyone. My name is Mike Mefferd and I am a new member to the Bigger Pockets community and also to the Ann Arbor area. I have spent the last 6 months or so reading all the great blogs and listening to the podcasts and I have finally decided to move forward with my real estate investing aspirations.

I currently have a full time job and I am looking at building a buy & hold portfolio on the side, focusing on the Ypsilanti and surrounding markets, as well as Toledo, OH where I am originally from. Eventually, I hope to build a porfolio large enough to allow me to transition to real estate investing full time. I am really looking forward to actively participating in the forums and getting to know all of the great people that make this site what it is.
