New to BP and REI - Indy area is home and I think it has lots of potential!

Hello BP peeps!

I am Chris and I am new to real estate investing! Well, not completely 'virgin' I do own two rental properties. One used to be my primary home and I moved out and just decided to rent it. The second was a HUD home purchase long ago and it is turning over about $150.00 / month in cash flow (split with the co-buyer)

I always wanted to do more investing, but never had cash on hand.  And admittedly, was pretty intimidated by all the jargon, and potential pitfalls.   I watched my parents do pretty good with a small apartment building (12 units) and I helped with maint on the weekends during high school and part of college.  The unit was able to help pay for my brother and I to go to college, so the weekends spent mowing the lawn and painting were well worth it!

Now being older, and thinking about securing retirement funds, (and also having recently acquired a little cash to invest) I know the REI is the way to go. I'd like to get started with SFRs and I really don't want to do the rehab work and property management - I'd rather pay a professional for that!

Sorry for the long post, but the excitement of finding BP, and this forum has dribbled to my keyboard!   :)
